01 · Before enrollment
Request permission from Dallas Municipal Court
Dallas offers online, mail and in-person requests. Online, select DSC under Explore Options and upload its contact-verification form, qualifying license and insurance. A request is not approval; the court describes responding by mail within 5–7 business days.

Check the appearance date and eligible offense with the court. Court costs are separate from the course price. When a portal offers several choices, select the court’s driving safety request process and review its instructions before paying.

Complete the course and the court’s conditions
After approval, complete the course, obtain the Type 3A record and notarize the court affidavit. Submit the signed court-copy certificate, record and affidavit by mail or in person by the 90th day. Dallas says fax, email and live chat are not document-return options.

- Prepare the complete packet. Sign the court copy as required and obtain the record or affidavit specified in your order.
- Submit and confirm receipt. Use the court’s accepted method, save proof of delivery and check with the court that every condition has been satisfied.
A common DSC completion period is 90 days, but the date in your approval controls. Course access time does not extend a court deadline. If you need more time, contact the court before the deadline.

Why does a balance remain after Dallas approves DSC?
Dallas says a balance may remain until the documents are reviewed and the case is dismissed. Check your case status with the court before making another payment.
How do I check whether Dallas received my documents?
Dallas lists certified mail, live clerk chat and citation search to check receipt. Judicial review follows the due date; contact the court if its published review interval has passed.
Can I take the course before the court approves it?
For ticket dismissal, request and receive permission first. Taking a course or purchasing a package does not itself grant court approval or dismiss a citation.

What if my citation contains more than one violation?
Ask which charge or charges the court approved for DSC. One course does not automatically resolve every charge on a citation. Follow any remaining court requirements separately.
Will the school submit my certificate automatically?
Use the delivery method your court accepts. Do not assume that finishing the course or receiving a certificate files it with the court. Keep proof of submission and confirm receipt.
Can I use this course for a motorcycle or specialized course order?
Confirm the exact course type in your order. A motorcycle operator training requirement or specialized child-safety course can require a different program from a standard driving safety course.
